REPORTING TO: 

 

Chef de Cuisine / Banquet Chef

We are looking for an experienced and customer focused individual to join our Culinary crew. Our ideal Breakfast Cook will have two or more years in a busy, full service kitchen environment with a positive attitude and willingness to grow and develop. This is a permanent, full time opportunity.

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES (including, but not limited to):

  • Follow the leadership of the Chef de Cuisine / Banquet Chef, providing top quality a product that meets and exceeds guests’ expectations
  • Produce orders from the dining room and room service in timely and efficient manner
  • Assist to open or close the front line according to established procedures
  • Prepare and set up of the line, having all mise en place according to prep list
  • Maintain and promote a safe and clean work environment.
  • Prepare and cook all orders according to standards, within the established time guidelines
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Chef de Cuisine / Banquet Chef or designate.

 

 

 

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2 years’ culinary experience as a line cook in a busy environment
  • Diploma or equivalent from an accredited culinary program
  • Registered Apprentice would be an asset
  • Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Positive attitude & team player a must
  • Willingness to learn and take on multiple tasks
  • Ability to show initiative and handle problems without guidance
  • Must be able to stand for 8 hours
  • Must be available to work days/evenings/weekends and holidays
