KITCHEN SUPERVISOR


Description

The Kitchen Supervisor facilitates the day-to-day services offered through the Day Program kitchen. They serve and work with a diverse population of homeless and at-risk youth.  

This position is 30 hours per week (10 hrs per day, Wed-Fri), with full medical and dental benefits and 27 paid days off in the first year. The Pay Rate is $15.00/hour. The application deadline is 01/07/18. 

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain an effective Food Program. 
  • Maximize donations and resources through the Oregon Food Bank.
  • Coordinate volunteers and youth participation in daily food prep and clean-up. 
  • Facilitate and supervise youth Kitchen Work Training experiences. 

Required Qualifications   

  • A valid Oregon Food Handlers Card. 
  • A valid driver’s license. 
  • Experience in meal planning and food preparation is required.  
  • Skills in nutrition, maintaining a licensed kitchen, and supervisory experience are desired.
