The On-Call Dog Attendant is mainly responsible for safety and cleaning in the dog area. They will show strong knowledge of dog behavior, dog body language and managing a large group of dogs. The On-Call Dog Attendant should provide the Manager with an accurate schedule of availability and are the primary resources for coverage on VW Holidays (7 per year) and weekends for boarding as listed in the Employee Handbook.  If possible they will receive cross training on front desk responsibilities.

On-call Responsibilities
Assist with dog activity schedule for the daycare as needed
Assist with front desk coverage as needed
Assist in providing on-the-job training to the youth workers as needed
Assist in tending to the welfare of the dogs 
Assist in maintaining a clean, safe and sanitary facility
Adhere to operational and fiscal procedures
Ensure excellent customer service
Other tasks as needed 
 1-2 yrs of related animal experience or background 
1-2 yrs of direct customer service
Basic office skills (typing, computer, phone and office equipment)
Strong knowledge of basic dog behavior and body language
Must be physically capable to stand for long periods of time and have the ability to bend, lift and move quickly when needed
Conflict resolution skills
Problem solving skills
