Reporting to the Vice-President, HSE and Corporate Services, the HSE Director - Eastern Canada is responsible for all occupational health and safety activities such as prevention and the management of accident records. As HSE Director - Eastern Canada, you will deploy DCM’s corporate HSE action plan and ensure the maintenance of its prevention program. You will inspect various worksites on a regular basis to ensure that workers are working safely and that established safety standards are respected. You will also support and advise supervisors and foremen on health and safety matters.



  • Manage, maintain and update the corporate health and safety program;
  • Make corporate representations to clients in health, safety and environment;
  • Complete various reports for the employer and clients;
  • Manage health and safety documentation;
  • Manage accident records and deal with the CNESST;
  • Coordinate and support the efforts of various prevention officers on projects;
  • Ensure the prevention manual and applicable provincial laws are respected;
  • Assist foremen and supervisors in the safe execution of tasks;
  • Support the bidding team in the preparation of proposals and during pre-qualifications;
  • Develop project-specific prevention programs, emergency procedures and various project requirements;
  • Prepare and lead meetings and health and safety training;
  • Ensure that workers receive proper training to perform their duties;
  • Carry out all other related tasks required in the performance of duties.


  • OHS training;
  • 5 to 10 years’ experience in health and safety and/or construction;
  • Experience in the industrial or construction fields;
  • Knowledge of English and French, written and spoken.



  • Demonstrate extensive knowledge of electrical and/or mechanical material (piping is an asset);
