Job Title:          Concentrator Cleanupman

Department:   Operations

Reports To:      Concentrator Manager



The Concentrator Cleanup Laborer is responsible for the safe and efficient cleanup in  their assigned work areas.  They must know all special safety rules for Flotation and Grinding, the Hayden Complex safety rules and the lockout procedure.  He/she must be qualified to perform the job duties of the next higher jobs in the line of flow.



  • Work safely around moving equipment while using required safety equipment.
  • Pre-operational check and servicing of all assigned mobile equipment.
  • Small use of small front end loader for cleanup when needed.
  • Assist in all mill cleanup as needed.
  • Know how to avoid getting water on motors and other electrical equipment.
  • Know how to shovel safely.
  • Know correct lifting technique.
  • Be able to work and move hoses safely while standing on slippery surfaces.
  • Be able to follow all safety rules applying to assigned work area.
  • Keep the Foreman informed of any problems affecting assigned work.
  • Be aware of environmentally sensitive areas and be alert to correct environmental problems that may develop in the assigned work area.
  • Other duties as determined from time to time to facilitate operations, safety, environmental concerns and community involvement.
  • All required AMS Critical Procedures.
  • Be able to safely perform jobs up the flow line, (Flotation Utility, Ball Mill Operator, and Slag Handler).



  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.




  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.



  • Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
  • Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.



  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.



  • Prior experience preferred
  • Must have valid driver’s license.
