Principal Purpose of Job:

  • Assist with upkeep and proper functioning of all ranch facilities, property and equipment. Assist in providing the best experience possible to our guests and fellow staff.
  • Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Perform upkeep, repair and maintenance on all ranch property including cabins, lodge rooms, public areas, restrooms, and restaurants. This will include, but is not limited to:
  • Pool and hot tub maintenance and cleaning
  • Electrical repairs to appliances, fixtures, switches and circuits
  • Plumbing repairs to water and sewage systems including replacement of water heater, plumbing fixtures, fittings and clearing of stoppages.
  • Replacement of flooring, glass, screens, and drapes
  • Carpentry repairs to structural framing and finish work
  • Replacement of glass, tiles, screens, locks and blinds.
  • Painting, both interior and exterior
  • Clean all entrance and storage areas and lock up
  • Maintain adequate lighting through the property
  • Assure that all required work orders and daily work logs are accurately completed and receipts accurately documented
  • Maintain inventory control of all maintenance tools, equipment and supplies
  • Diagnose problems or faulty operations and equipment, defective material or questionable conditions, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments and report appropriately.
  • Perform regular preventative maintenance on machines, equipment and facilities.
  • Participate in standby emergency schedule for evening, weekend and holiday coverage.
  • Comply with company and OSHA safety regulations, policies and procedures and maintain clean and orderly work areas and equipment.
  • Assist and support the team with projects as needed.
  • Develop a working knowledge of heating, cooling and systems ranch wide.
  • Troubleshoot problems and resolve in a timely manner.
  • Make proper use of all safety equipment provided.
  • Provide exceptional guest service to our guests by providing quick response to issues and being flexible to complete any task needed for the good of the guest and ranch.
  • Inspect current HVAC systems for effectiveness and safety
  • Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC systems to increase longevity
  • Troubleshoot current HVAC system issues

Other Duties:

  • Furniture/equipment moving.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Personal Attributes:
  • Ability to work efficiently and safely.
  • Ability to cooperate with staff ranch-wide under the direction of the Facilities Manager.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a strong follow up mentality to ensure all projects are completed in full and in a timely manner.
  • Strong problem solving skills.
  • Able to identify possible issues and perform preventative maintenance prior to it affecting our guests.

Physical Demands:

  • Able to stand for entire shift.
  • Able to lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Able to tolerate exposure to extreme cold, snow, rain and heat.
  • Excellent hand dexterity

Education/Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Must be a minimum 21 years of age
  • 3-5 years previous maintenance experience preferred
  • Electrical experience preferred
  • HVAC/ certification required
  • POOL COP certification required
  • Special Skills/Equipment:
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
  • Familiar with proper use and upkeep of ranch maintenance equipment.

Wage Range: $18-20.60
