MasterGraphics Inc. is seeking an ambitious Field Service Technician who combines a strong background in electronics, 3D Printing or printer/copier repair with a dedication to providing top-notch service to customers in the Chicago, Milwaukee, and Indianapolis areas. Dedicated to the manufacturing and building industries, MasterGraphics helps streamline the flow of mechanical and building design data through an integrated mix of software, hardware, training, digital imaging and distribution offerings.  This Field Service Technician will join our experienced, professional team of award-winning technicians. 



  • Diagnose and repair sophisticated and complex 3D Printers, wide format copiers, scanners and plotters according to manufacturer guidelines
  • Install, configure and adjust equipment as well as train customers
  • Complete routine preventative maintenance
  • Maintain knowledge on new products and technical developments as well as required training and certifications
  • Coordinate service activities with dispatch, customers, sales and management


This Field Service Technician position will work from our Rolling Meadows, IL office and will focus on clients throughout the Chicago, Milwaukee and Indianapolis areas.  Extensive day travel and occasional overnight stays are required.



To be considered for the Field Service Technician position, you must have:

  • 2+ years of field service or in-house repair experience (or degree in electronics field)
  • Technical proficiency in mechanical devices and electronics
  • The ability to lift and maneuver parts weighing up to 50 pounds
  • A valid driver’s license and good driving record
  • Computer systems experience


What else will make you a strong candidate? While not required, we’re looking for candidates with:

  • Working knowledge of hardware and software installation, diagnostic analysis, and troubleshooting
  • Experience in copier/printer/3D printer service or repair
  • Understanding of Additive Manufacturing processes
  • Experience with hand tools and test equipment such as a multi-meter
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including professional grammar and speech
  • A proven ability to work independently and organize your tasks, tools and time for maximum efficiency
  • An exceptional dedication to creating satisfied customers
