JOB SUMMARY:

Provides support to the Legal Recruiting Department and the Washington, D.C. office in the recruitment and hiring process of lateral attorneys, the summer associate program and law school on-campus recruitment and hiring.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Assist recruiting team in organizing recruiting receptions/outreach events, on-campus events and summer associate program social events.
  2. Represent and promote the firm through attendance/participation in these recruitment events and interaction with candidates.
  3. Assist recruiting team with the planning of the summer associate program and onboarding efforts.
  4. Input and update candidate information in legal recruiting database and ensure completion and accuracy of all essential information.
  5. Organize promotional materials needed for on-campus recruiting events and the interviewing materials utilized by on-campus interviewers.
  6. Assist recruiters with lateral associate hiring including candidate tracking and communicating with search agencies. 
  7. Communicate information related to interviews to those internally involved in the process (including lawyer interviewers, travel department, legal recruiting staff, reception staff, and building security).
  8. Organize interview schedules for interviewing candidates and assembles interview materials for candidates.
  9. Prepare and deliver appropriate correspondence to candidates regarding their employment status.
  10. Assist recruiters with diversity initiatives.
  11. Greet candidates interviewing with the firm.

Legal Recruiting Department support may include:

  • Opening, sorting, distributing department email

  • Arranging logistics for internal/external meetings including sending meeting appointments and preparing meeting materials such as agendas, reports, PowerPoint presentations, etc.  

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

  • A minimum of one year of administrative experience in a fast-paced, professional services industry is also preferred.

  • The position requires strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and applicant tracking software experience is a plus.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Normal office environment and schedule. This is a non-exempt position; candidate must be willing and able to handle overtime as needed especially during the busy on-campus season (July – September).
