Our Corporate division is currently looking for a bright and ambitious Continuous Improvement (ATS Business Model) Regional Leader – North America to join their team
The Continuous Improvement Manager/ATS Business Model (ABM) Leader is responsible for promoting and facilitating the successful implementation of the ATS Business Model within ATS Automation North America, and specifically with continuous improvement, goal deployment (Hoshin planning) lean and growth specific actions throughout the organization.
- Drive ever-improving results by leveraging ATS Business Model (ABM) tools, consulting skills, and change management process.
- Assist in achieving the Goal Deployment and Strategic Plan objectives related to ATS Automation North America.
- Assist ATS N/A leadership in the development and execution of a ABM roadmap at ATS
- Directly provide formal and informal ABM training and coaching
- Ensure productive kaizen events
- Promote and facilitate diagnosis of work flow impediments and other wastes throughout the business, and provide expert counsel on appropriate tools to eliminate them
- Promote and facilitate associate development in various ABM tools, transactional improvements, and kaizen leadership
- Driving ABM culture and building ABM excellence within the organization and specifically the Americas organization within the first 12 months.
- Benchmark and incorporate best practices
Cambridge, ON; Chicago, IL; Columbus, OH; with willingness to travel 50% or more.
Other locations optional with additional travel requirements.
A four-year Engineering degree or equivalent is required, specializing in electronics, electrical, mechanical or controls engineering is preferred. MBA or master’s degree is also preferred.
4-8 years of Commercial Operations, Engineering, Transactional or Product Management experience
International business experience
Ability to accurately assess key business metrics and situations from a “general manager’s” point of view
Ability to design, develop, and implement a lean/continuous improvement roadmap for an operating business
Mastery of a variety of lean tools (or six sigma or equivalent continuous improvement tools)
Superior communications skills including being able to communicate to all levels of the organization including those where English is not their primary language
Superior training skills and adult learning theory
Superior consulting/influencing skills
Familiarity with various operational and commercial process and tools (eg. Sales, order processing, distributor management, CRM, ERP)
Hands-on experience implementing continuous improvements (ABM), including Transactional Process Improvements
Exposure to and participation in a wide variety of training environments
Good writing and administrative skills, including computer skills (word processing, graphics, spreadsheet, etc.)
Demonstrated proficiency in time and project management
