Our After Sales & Services team in our Cambridge, Ontario location is currently looking for a bright, ambitious Service Business Development Representative who enjoys team work and on-going challenging projects.



The Service Business Development Representative (SBDR) is a key member of the Services Business Development Team.  This position requires an enthusiastic individual with an entrepreneurial mindset to proactively develop and execute Business Development strategy for our Services organization. This is an outbound role focused on identifying and qualifying leads within our customer base and outbound customer outreach initiatives. You will be calling on current customer accounts, re-engaging clients and uncovering new leads and contacts. Your goal is to generate interest with the potential customer and book appointments for the account team to close. In addition, you will be accountable for allocating daily takes and objectives, continuously mentor new or junior team member, and drive achievement of KPIs.



  • Understands and delivers ATS’ unique value proposition including standard service products and creates solution vision with prospective customers

  • Identify and qualify leads within our customer base through outbound customer outreach initiatives.

  • Partners with global ATS customer facing employees to gather information on their approach to customer accounts.

  • Contact current customer accounts, re-engaging clients and uncovering new leads and contacts though persistent follow-up

  • Create and update lead generation emails and phone scripts

  • Update customer interactions through the CRM tool ensuring data integrity

  • Qualify opportunities with potential customers and engage appropriate account representative to close.

  • Conduct market research and keep updated on product and industry knowledge and competitors

  • Accountable for allocating daily takes and objectives, continuously mentor new or junior team member, and drive achievement of KPIs.

  • Monitor and respond to ATS Services inbox and website inquiries – responding and re-directing incoming customer request for information, etc.




  • Bachelor’s Degree or College Diploma in a business related program and/or equivalent experience




  • 1-2 years’ experience in a business development role

  • Experience using Oracle Cloud Platform is considered an asset

  • Experience in aftermarket sales considered an asset.

  • “Hunter” mentality with a proven, disciplined approach to driving sales leads.

  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to multi-task and organize/prioritize work independently

  • Strong interpersonal and customer orientation skills with the ability to influence decision makers

  • Demonstrated ability to work individually and collaboratively within a team environment

  • Strong desire to be in a professional sales role in the future with solid business acumen.

  • Demonstrated comfort with cold calling.
