In this role, you will:

  • Lead the organization-wide budgeting and forecasting processes, including consolidation of the various operational and head office department budgets into a cohesive and supportable budget / forecast to be approved by executive leaders.

Your Responsibilities

  • Overall project management of the organization-wide budgeting / forecasting cycles

  • Preparation of executive presentations to outline budget highlights to executives for approval, and board level materials

  • Drive continuous enhancements to existing budget / forecast processes and reporting in terms of value-add, maturity and efficiency

  • Partner with operational and head office budget owners in preparation of their bottoms up budgets / forecasts

  • Finance support and monitoring of organizational programs including both strategic initiatives as well as ongoing smaller scale projects

  • Ongoing budget to actual variance analysis

Your Skills and Experience

  • Recognized accounting designation (CPA, CA, CPA, CMA, CPA, CGA)

  • Minimum 6 years of experience in a people leadership role

  • Extensive experience in financial ownership of cross-functional initiatives and experience in strategic planning, project management, executive communication, thought leadership and change management

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of the organization, including Senior Executive team members

  • P&C Insurance knowledge is an asset
