ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a People & Culture Business Partner for a 9-10 month Maternity Cover contract. Your purpose will be to support the General Manager; People & Culture with implementing and executing the People & Culture strategy. You will provide comprehensive and proactive HR advice pertaining to the full employee lifecycle to business managers and employees whilst sustaining strong working relationships. Plus you will be a key contributor to creating and sustaining a performance driven (yet fun!) culture

Responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate with the L&D Manager to continuously enhance the induction program and ensure new employees feel welcome and valued and are contributing to the success of the business as soon as possible.
  • Assist the General Manager; People & Culture and business managers with goal setting and implementing performance development plans
  • Manage the Talent Acquisition and Recruitment function including maintaining effective recruitment and selection practices, upskilling Managers and talent pipelining
  • Collaborate with GM of P&C to evaluate and update HR operational guidelines and policies
  • Partner with General and Line Managers to advise on policies, best practice HR process and ER matters – stepping in to assist where required
  • Actively contribute to remuneration and rewards processes and updates
  • Support the P&C Co-ordinator in all aspects of their role including; reporting, maintaining HR systems and processes, survey creation, and general day to day advice and guidance
  • Provide ongoing support to all managers in building a highly engaged workforce.

Key Skills and Experience

  • 2-3 years’ experience in a HR Business Partner role
  • Experience and genuine interest in Talent Acquisition
  • Fantastic interpersonal skills, consistently maintaining confidentiality and trust
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail, super organised with excellent time management
  • The ability to use your initiative and problem solve
  • A collaborative and pragmatic approach
  • Comfortable working with numbers
  • Knowledge and experience of Employee Relations and legislation
  • Experience working with various systems and databases, demonstrating strong technical skills would be desirable
