Function and Scope:

The Associate, Digital Analytics provides digital analytics expertise to support data-driven decision-making across the College related to digital products and user behaviors. As part of a group of digital analytics specialists, this position implements and manages data tracking and reporting. These functions are achieved by working with off-the-shelf analytics tools, digital customer survey tools, as well as custom data reporting from platforms, tools, and systems used by ACC in delivering digital offerings. This data and analysis is used to inform product decisions, marketing campaigns, feature enhancements, and new product designs, among other uses.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage data collection activities in a digital ecosystem that engages users through multiple related platforms that include web domains/subdomains, mobile apps, digital publications, and social media accounts
  • Design, create, analyze, and distribute data reports to support ongoing data-driven decision-making and product reporting, monitor business performance, and improve the user experience
  • Prepare trending analyses of web properties over time and present findings and actionable recommendations to product owners, senior level teams, and member leadership in a manner tailored to the target audience
  • Work closely with business lines and product owners to ensure proper data interpretation
  • Participate in evaluation of digital analytics technologies based on established criteria to satisfy business needs
  • Contribute to analytics documentation, e.g. data dictionary, variable map, using knowledge management tools to provide a reference repository for the team and broader organization
  • Develop processes to support the efficient creation and distribution of increasingly greater numbers of recurring data analytics reports
  • Champion the use of web analytics throughout the College, empowering business lines and product owners to use analytics for driving product development, evolution, and member engagement
  • Develop an intimate understanding of the College’s business and customers and proactively identify ways to help the College achieve its goals
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, marketing, communications, and user experience, to shape the customer journey

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Three+ years progressive and relevant experience in data analytics and web metrics
  • Expertise in working with and managing Google Analytics and other web analytics toolsets
  • Experience with Google Tag Manager
  • Demonstrated experience with and knowledge of structures and tools used in digital product development such as JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
  • Proven analytical and research capabilities, with excellent ability to analyze, interpret and visually present data and trends
  • Demonstrated ability to reduce large amounts of data to assess product performance, customer behaviors, develop an understanding of usage trends, and offer actionable insights
  • Familiarity with basic statistical methods
  • Interest and curiosity about the stories data can tell about how our digital offerings are meeting the needs of our members
  • Strong technical communication skills
  • Ability to use office software (PowerPoint, Excel, Word), with particular strengths in Excel
  • Strong organizational and task management skills, with the ability to successfully manage multiple concurrent projects
  • Ability to work well with diverse team members, including professional physician members

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience tracking of ecommerce, marketing campaigns, events, A/B testing, and/or dynamic pages and understanding of conversion attribution modeling
  • Knowledge of mobile app analytic tracking and a basic understanding of app environments and construction as they relate to analytic tracking
  • Familiarity with advanced statistical methods, data mining techniques, predictive analysis and forecasting
  • Experience with cross-domain tracking of multiple related domains and sub-domains
  • Experience appropriately combining related data from different sources
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Google Data Studio
  • Familiarity with common tools used in digital ecosystems, such as Association or Contact Management Software, Content Management Systems, and digital customer survey tools. Examples include: Personify, Sitecore, Sitefinity, Foresee
  • Familiarity with concepts of usability and user-centered design
  • Familiarity with best practices in Search Engine Optimization and use of tools such as Google Search Console and Webmaster Tools
  • Familiarity with sentiment analysis of unstructured data, like customer feedback
