The College of New Jersey has an immediate full-time permanent position available for an experienced Grounds Worker.  Reporting to the Head Grounds Worker, this position performs a variety of tasks involved in the maintenance of the grounds, including, but not limited to mowing, trimming, planting, weeding, edging, and snow removal.

Requirements: 

  • Minimum of one year of grounds/landscape maintenance experience and snow removal in a large scale setting 
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license in good standing issued by the state of New Jersey
  • Must possess a NJ Certified Pesticide Applicator’s license (or must have the ability to obtain the license within two (2) years of the date of hire).

Preferred:

Experience in an institutional setting, preferably higher education, as well as experience in the operation of specialized equipment, including backhoes, skid steers, and tractors.
