Position Title: HSPD-12 Security Specialist/Lead

Reports To:  Program Manager and Customer

Clearance Type:  Secret

Work Location: Washington, DC

Start Date: O/A April/May 2017

Job Description: Advantage SCI, LLC is seeking an experienced HSPD-12 Security Specialist to provide support to our government customer in Washington DC upon contract award.  

Summary of duties include:

  • Provide oversight, coordination and monitoring of all aspect of activities performed under the performance work statement

  • Provide daily management of badge issuance and/or PIV card issuance

  • Ensures continuous workflow and performance of on-site staff

  • Provides training and certification for staff as needed

  • Maintains records and provide reports as necessary

  • Schedules and assign duties to subordinate contractor employees

  • participate in weekly staff and coordination meetings and

  • Interacts with government points of contact to ensure consistent management of personnel.


  • Must have high school diploma or equivalent /two-year college degree preferred

  • Must be well versed with the duties and responsibilities of subordinate personnel assigned to support HSPD-12 requirements as identified in the Federal Information Processing Standard 201, Office of Management and Budget Memo (s) M11-11and M-05-24, National Institute of Standards and Technology.

  • 5 years of progressive experience in mid to large organizations that includes government or military Business Development of services.

  • Must have Identity Management functional expertise

  • Must have experience in team management and change management/change control plans, communication planning, security and some information technology (IT)

  • Required expertise with public key infrastructure (PKI), collection of biometrics (fingerprints), and smart cards.

  • Must be willing to travel

  • Must have a valid certification of completion in PII and Cyber Awareness Challenge from Information Assurance Support Environment (Only valid within 30 days of hire). To obtain the certification, visit http://iase.disa.mil/eta/

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Must have through knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)

  • Must have excellent customer service and communications, and

  • Excellent written communications skills

  • Strong analytical and relationship building skills

  • Possesses Team Building and Management Skills

Background in government and Department of Homeland Security

Working Conditions:

  • Able to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of time

  • Able to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist and reach on a daily basis

  • Able to lift up to 25 pounds and carry for short distances occasionally

  • Noise level - quiet to moderate
