Description

Position Title: Badge and Credential Clerk (Part-Time and Full-Time Positions)

Reports To:  Security Specialist/Lead

Clearance Type:  Secret

Work Location: Bethlehem, PA

Start Date: O/A  April/May 2017

Job Description: Advantage SCI, LLC is seeking an experienced Badge and Credential Clerk to provide support to our government customer in Bethlehem, PA upon contract award.  

Summary of duties include:

  • Provide support and assistance to customer managers and PIV cardholders in the form of customer service.

  • Review credential and Law Enforcement Officer Safety Act (LEOSA) applications, coordinating with appropriate program offices to ensure all necessary checks are conducted and determinations made as to an applicant’s eligibility

  • Assist with policy development in accordance with federal regulations, DHS, and customer policies and memoranda related to programs

  • Import photographs and signatures into database

  • Produce credentials and ship throughout United States and the U.S. Territories

  • Create, maintain, and update existing and new items in databases

  • Assign and track all items in various databases

  • Receive and process returns and retirement requests

  • Ship retirement returns and cards via Government Contracted Carrier and United States Postal Service

  • Assist with all aspects of inventory control via systems and manual spreadsheets

  • Perform minor administrative functions in support of Program functions.

Qualifications:

  • Must have high school diploma or equivalent and three (3) years experience

  • Must have a MINIMUM of two (2) years of experience in information technology, security, law enforcement, asset management and/or the production and control of government issued identification.

  • In-depth knowledge and experience with the use of databases with ability to import photos and signatures and produce reports

  • Experience with inventory control through the uses of technical and manual systems

  • an HSPD-12 compliant Physical Access Control System and Logical Access Control Systems

  • Must have in-depth knowledge of and skills in Windows-based and web-based desktop applications, such as Microsoft Office Professional, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft SharePoint.

  • Required expertise with collection of biometrics (fingerprints), and smart cards.

  • Must have a valid certification of completion in PII and Cyber Awareness Challenge from Information Assurance Support Environment (Only valid within 30 days of hire). To obtain the certification, visit http://iase.disa.mil/eta/

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Must have working knowledge of software/desktop applications (PC operating systems, office automation suites, office productivity software, groupware, email clients, digital collaboration tools, etc

  • Must have excellent customer service skills

  • Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills

Strongly Desired

Background working in government and/or Department of Homeland Security

Working Conditions:

  • Able to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of time

  • Able to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist and reach on a daily basis

  • Able to lift up to 25 pounds and carry for short distances occasionally

  • Noise level - quiet to moderate
