Description

Duties: Perform audits and reviews of various city departments, programs, and systems to determine the effectiveness and to ensure that appropriate security measures are in place. Prepare and present formal written audit reports to include findings and recommendations for the correction of operational deficiencies. To assist in the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies, and priorities for the division.

 

Qualifications: Three(3)years of professional auditing or accounting experience, preferably in municipal or public accounting. Equivalent to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in accounting, business administration or closely related field.

 

 

RESIDENCY REQUIREMENT FOR CITY EMPLOYEES:

Within six (6) months from date of employment, must establish residency within the City of Jackson.

PRIOR TO EMPLOYMENT, APPLICANT RECOMMENDED FOR EMPLOYMENT SHALL BE REQUIRED TO SUCCESSFULLY PASS A URINALYSIS AND/OR BLOOD TEST TO SCREEN FOR ALCOHOL AND/OR DRUG ABUSE.
