Police Records Technician

|Pay Minimum:||$10.649 Hourly|
Duties: Compile, type, record, and file a wide variety of police records, reports, and material including memoranda, letters, complaints, declarations, booking, information, restraining orders, fingerprints cards, warrants, citations, and traffic reports. Also, perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: High School Diploma or Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade. One year of clerical work experience requiring record-keeping, public contact and interpretation of rules and regulations.
RESIDENCY REQUIREMENT FOR CITY EMPLOYEES:
Within six (6) months from date of employment, must establish residency within the City of Jackson.
PRIOR TO EMPLOYMENT, APPLICANT RECOMMENDED FOR EMPLOYMENT SHALL BE REQUIRED TO SUCCESSFULLY PASS A URINALYSIS AND/OR BLOOD TEST TO SCREEN FOR ALCOHOL AND/OR DRUG ABUSE.
