Deputy City Clerk

|Pay Minimum:||$15.229 Hourly|
|Work Hours:||8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.|
Duties: Provide clerical support within the Department of Municipal Clerk; prepare materials/ correspondence for distribution within the City and other related external businesses and governmental agencies; perform duties for the TSA Pre-Check program within the City of Jackson.
Qualifications: Three (3) or more years of increasingly responsible clerical or secretarial experience or equivalent supplemented by specialized secretarial or clerical training; or a Bachelor's Degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Secretarial Science or related field.
RESIDENCY REQUIREMENT FOR CITY EMPLOYEES:
Within six (6) months from date of employment, must establish residence within the City of Jackson.
PRIOR TO EMPLOYMENT, APPLICANT RECOMMENDED FOR EMPLOYMENT SHALL BE REQUIRED TO SUCCESSFULLY PASS A URINALYSIS AND/OR BLOOD TEST TO SCREEN FOR ALCOHOL AND/OR DRUG ABUSE.
