Recreation Aide (Part-Time)

Duties: Oversee the use of the facility by opening and closing the facility for reservations and/or events. Enforce rules and regulations. Plan and conduct structural recreational activities. Participate in special events and programs with other departments/divisions. Coordinate and participate in program planning sessions with other site staff to develop activities and lessons.
Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent. Prior experience in recreational programming. Must be flexible and willing to work weekends.
RESIDENCY REQUIREMENT FOR CITY EMPLOYEES:
Within six (6) months from date of employment, must establish residency within the City of Jackson.
PRIOR TO EMPLOYMENT, APPLICANT RECOMMENDED FOR EMPLOYMENT SHALL BE REQUIRED TO SUCCESSFULLY PASS A URINALYSIS AND/OR BLOOD TEST TO SCREEN FOR ALCOHOL AND/OR DRUG ABUSE.
