Call for Resumes – USAID Tunisia Accountability, Decentralization, and Effective Municipalities (TADAEEM) Activity

 

 

DAI, an international consulting firm based in the United States, is currently accepting applications from candidates for long-term positions to support the anticipated U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Tunisia Accountability, Decentralization, and Effective Municipalities (TADAEEM) opportunity.  The anticipated project will focus on improving citizen participation in and oversight of key government functions, improve municipal institutional and service delivery performance and improve regional and national coordination as well as service delivery mechanisms to respond to citizens needs. 

 

Areas of expertise sought include:

 

  • Municipal governance capacity building and reform
  • Service Delivery performance improvements at the local, provincial and national level
  • Participatory budgeting and financial management
  • Experience supporting civic engagement and participation
  • Capital improvement planning
  • Addressing obstacles to gender and youth inclusion in the municipal government space
  • Experience with gender and youth civil society organizations
  • Finance/Accounting
  • Monitoring & Evaluation
  • Grants management

 

Requirements:

 

  • Degree in related field 
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; experience with USAID or other international donors highly preferred
  • Experience working at the regional, provincial or municipal level and/or with CSOs to implement municipal governance reforms and support capacity building
  • Solid written and oral communication skills
  • Experience mobilizing community engagement in municipal government
  • Fluency in both French and English required
