The Preparedness and Response (P&R) Project, a component of the USAID Emerging Pandemic Threats 2 (EPT 2) program, supports the strengthening of National One Health Platforms (NOHPs) and preparedness and response planning. NOHPs are the platforms for multidisciplinary and multi-sectoral collaboration at the country level, and provide the basis for ensuring that core capacities are in place for detecting, reporting, and responding to emerging pandemic threats.
Initially, the communications intern will work with P&R’s communications specialist to update the web site, develop the intranet site, contribute to project reporting (such as the GHSA report or semi-annual report) and help maintain project knowledge management systems. The communications intern will generate project content and revise drafts with field teams as needed. They will also work with the Communications Specialist to provide additional internal communications support as needed.

8 hours a week in DAI’s Bethesda office.
12 hours a week at home or any other remote location.
The intern shall work under the direction of the Communications Specialist and in close coordination with the Deputy Director, both based in Bethesda, Maryland.
