DAI is seeking a Analyst to join our busy Sustainable Business Group  (SBG). The position will be based in DAI offices in Hertfordshire, with excellent rail links to London and the region, or in London.


Function of the Position:

This is a full-time, professional position that will contribute to the DAI Sustainable Business Group (DAI SBG), and will be based out of the DAI/Europe office in the UK. DAI/SBG is a specialized unit that leads DAI’s engagements with private sector and government clients in local content/supply chain sustainability, workforce development and corporate social investment.

This specific role will be to support SBG in expanding its work with its Local Content suite of services. This includes supporting client work and product application in local content advisory services, local content program management, corporate social investment program design and implementation and workforce development. This position will focus on developing and delivering SBG’s Local Content Tendering and Reporting Platform (LCPR) and associated advisory services linked to this platform. The candidate will be trained on SBG’s products and services accordingly.


Roles and Responsibilities:

The percentages below are illustrative and may evolve and/or change depending on the company’s needs.

 Specific responsibilities will include:

 1.  Product Development and Support (30%)

  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of marketing materials of SBG products, specifically those concerning its Local Content Tendering and Reporting Platform (LCPR).
  • Anchor the preparation and delivery of LCPR client demos and supporting proposal development
  • Support the ongoing configuration and development of the LCPR tool and work with software developers to make any upgrades.

 2.  New Business and Sales (20%)

  • Provide new business support to the unit on LCPR opportunities
  • Coordinate client outreach efforts, market intelligence analysis, and promotion associated with LCPR.
  • Coordinate new business efforts by working with other technical experts to draft technical proposals, provide input for budgets, coordinate with partners, and recruit project staff.
  • Conduct research to identify projects beneficial to DAI and work on engaging prospective clients. 
  • client relationship management activities.

 3.  Technical Delivery (35%)

  • Work with participating companies using LCPR to produce analytical outputs based on data entered. e.g. quarterly reports, company scorecards, and other bespoke analyses.
  • Lead analytical assignments including local content forecasting, policy analysis, training, workshops, and other relevant activities.
  • Develop appropriate reporting (e.g. PowerPoint decks, economic models and other quantitative analyses). 

4.  Project Management and Reporting (15%)

  • Working with the SBG’s Regional Operations Manager, draft and process consultant contracts, subcontract agreements, and project budgets, associated with LCPR and other local content advisory work.
  • Support financial and operational management of project portfolio for, predominantly, LCPR engagements.
  • Keep SBG team and DAI/US updated on product development, business development, sales, active project status, and relevant project and product materials.

 Additional duties as deemed necessary.



 Minimum Qualifications:

  • several years of relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree; or some relevant experience and a Master’s degree
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, flexible, and team-focused work environment
  • Advanced working knowledge of Stata (or other statistical software), PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • Experience with business development and/or proposal management
  • Willing and able to travel internationally and domestically (30% or more)
  • Excellent writing and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with and configuring software
  • Experience selling products or services
  • Language skills including Spanish, Portuguese and/or French
  • Experience in a technical field related to supply chain management, audit and accounting, local content, private sector consulting, strategy, economic analysis, financial analysis and measurement


For the Analyst position the salary offered is commensurate with experience.
