Activity Team Lead

Currently, DAI is delivering results in about 80 countries. Our clients include international development agencies, international lending institutions, private corporations and philanthropies, and national governments.

DAI seeks an Activity Team Lead for the anticipated US-Support for Economic Growth in Asia (US-SEGA) Project. This program will work to strengthen the capacity of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) foreign-assistance eligible developing member economies to advance regional economic cooperation and support USAID economic growth programs in the Asia Region.

This position is anticipated to be based in Washington, DC with frequent travel to Bangkok, Thailand and the Southeast Asia region.

Responsibilities

The Activity Team Lead will be responsible for management and implementation of a portfolio of results-based buy-in activities. S/he will oversee the delivery of cost-effective, timely, and high-quality activities. Specific tasks include:

  • Provide programmatic and administrative leadership for results-based buy-in activities of the SEGA project to ensure that targets are achieved within the set timelines ensure the achievement of results, advising and authorizing specific courses of action consistent with current USAID’s policies and regulations;
  • Act as main point of contact for buy-in client throughout implementation of activities;
  • Liaise with the project team on all matters related to the buy-in, including but not limited to technical assistance requirements, contractual, budget and invoicing;
  • Coordinate review of draft and final deliverables, and support technical review of deliverables;
  • Ensure proper M&E data capture and data quality to contribute to SEGA project M&E reporting;
  • Capture research and learning from the project’s buy-in activities, and develop research and learning capture materials following buy-in completion, including but not limited to technical vignettes, standardized tools and debrief reports;
  • Oversee adherence to implementation schedule and work plan, ensuring cohesion across result areas

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Masters preferred.
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience working on USAID-funded economic growth development programming
  • Demonstrated experience in program and activity management
  • Southeast Asia experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven research, communications, and interpersonal skills. Fluent written and spoken English required.
