Outline of the Programme:

“Methodological and Knowledge Sharing Support for EU External Interventions (“MKS Contract”)

The overall objective of the contract is to provide support and technical assistance to the Directorate General for International Cooperation and Developments (DG DEVCO) to improve quality, coherence and effectiveness of EU interventions in international cooperation through increased knowledge, reinforced capacities, enhanced working methodologies and skills of EU staff in Headquarters and Delegations.

Objectives of the role:

She/he will be responsible for the day-to-day operation management of the platform. She/he will act as first line users' support on matters related to Capacity4dev. She/he will also oversee the quality of the improvements implemented by subcontractors. She/he will work under the supervisions of the Capacity4dev IT Business Manager.

Length of the project: 12 months renewed up to 3 times (220 working days)

Start Date:  2nd of May 2019

Project Location: Brussels, Belgium

Qualifications and Skills:

  • At least a University degree (Bachelor 3 years + master degree or 4 years University degree) in ICTs or relevant fields, or relevant professional experience of minimum 7 years Ability to perform functional testing of IT systems (ticketing, reporting).
  • Fluency in English and French (C1/C2 level). Ability to work in a multicultural environment

General Professional Experience:

  • At least 7 years of experience in the field of web management

Specific Professional Experience:

  • At least 3 years of successful experience in web management for large scale organisations, in managing large scale and complex open source online knowledge management and collaborative platforms
  • Knowledge of Drupal is a requirement
  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodology (users' stories, business workflow, ... ) is a requirement
  • Working experience for EU institutions would be a very strong asset Knowledge of Capacity4dev would be a very strong asset.
