A day in the life of a Harm Reduction & Recovery Specialist: 

  • You would assist with database improvements by identifying gaps between data collection and reporting needs.

  • You utilize your experience to develop tools for staff to submit and review data for contract compliance and quality of service.

  • You would ensure that our data quality improvement plan tracks staff and program adherence to agency policies and contract adherence.

  • You would work with leadership to develop an effective data training program for staff.

  • You would assist with transferring data from the database to our contract funders, and prepare ad hoc reports for senior management and external contractors, as needed.


  • Demonstrated knowledge/skills relevant to the position.

  • Experience reviewing and interpreting data and reports  is required.

  • The ability and desire to work independently, think creatively, multi-task when needed, and build interpersonal relationships with team members.


  • Education/training relevant to the position.

  • A minimum of 3 years of data system experience is preferred. 

  • Knowledge of operations and the flow of information in a social services program is highly desirable.
