Follow your curiosity to the heart of uptown.  The Grand Bohemian Hotel Charlotte is accepting applications for hospitality-minded individuals with a passion for inspiring guests!

We are seeking a precise and enthusiastic individual to join our team of Grand Performers in the Receiving Clerk role.

The incumbent in the role will accept all purchased products into the Hotel, verifying accuracy of deliver to purchase orders. Maintains storeroom in accordance to standards and rotates stock accordingly. Issues and delivers items to departments in accordance with the requisition policies and procedures. Conducts inventories.

Essential Functions / Responsibilities / Tasks

Primary duties, responsibilities, and tasks include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Review all Food & Beverage orders to be received.
  • Review emails with information on orders from the Chef.
  • Daily Purchasing Line up.
  • Refuse acceptance of damaged, unacceptable or incorrect items applying credit memos.
  • File completed order sheets.
  • Receive and check all Food & Beverage product.
  • Take temperature with HACCP handheld for records.
  • Assist in moving received product to Coolers.
  • Place 2nd Run of produce retuned or not received.
  • Receive and check all products orders with PO’s.
  • Issue internal credit memos when discrepancies or price error.
  • File food & beverage POs received.
  • Log packages received from FedEx and email departments for pickup.
  • Put away all equipment.
  • Control Loading dock outside receiving area
  • Assist in the daily operation of the storeroom to include, but not limited to, reconciling items to purchase orders to verify accuracy, rotating stock and conducting inventories.

Minimum Qualifications  (Education, License, Certifications, Experience)

  1. Associate's degree OR equivalent years of experience and education - preferred
  2. Minimum one year related experience in similar title and level - preferred
  3. Experience within luxury brand/markets - preferred
