Objective / Purpose / Summary: 

The overall objective and purpose of the Concierge is to assist guests by providing them with information on area attractions, dining, activities and events and coordinating reservations in order to enhance the total guest experience.


Supervisory Responsibilities: 

Supervisory responsibilities for the below mentioned position(s)/department(s)  include interviewing, hiring, training, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; mentoring, rewarding and conducting corrective action(s), addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Qualifications: Education / Certifications / Work/Industry Experience:

  1. High school diploma or General Education Degree - required
  2. Minimum of 6 months front desk, concierge or related industry experience – required
  3. Student or graduate of hotel management school - preferred


Essential Duties / Responsibilities / Tasks: .

Primary duties, responsibilities, and tasks include, but are not limited to the following:

  1. Greet and interact with internal and external guests in a warm and friendly manner, using professional verbiage
  2. Establish relationships with the community and vendor partners and maintain knowledge of area attractions, local events, activities and services 
  3. Maintain knowledge of room types, hotel amenities, features and hours of operation. Recommend the hotel’s outlets
  4. Coordinate and track reservations for activities, events and services. Follow up with guests, providing confirmations
  5. Prepare welcome letters, complete amenity forms for packages and amenity requests
  6. Process payments for services according to the standard operating procedure
  7. Maintain the integrity of the guests’ privacy, including the confidentiality of personal information 
  8. Operate the telephone system, answering calls within 3 rings, using the correct salutation and telephone etiquette
  9. Notify guests of messages and record them legibly and completely 
  10. Respond promptly to questions, concerns and special requests. Follow up to ensure the guest is satisfied
  11. Log guest requests and concerns according to procedures. Communicate with departments in a timely manner
  12. Proficiently solve problems 
  13. Maintain a neat and organized work area
  14. Maintain integrity of the Company proprietary information and protect Company assets
  15. Maintain complete knowledge in the use of all job-related office equipment, property management systems and access according to specifications
  16. Demonstrate effective sales techniques to upsell rooms, amenities and products
  17. Maintain complete knowledge and comply with company policies and procedures
  18. Maintain neat, clean and professional appearance according to the standards
  19. Maintain a safe work environment. Report accidents, injuries and unsafe conditions
  20. Welcome and acknowledge guests with disabilities
  21. Develop and maintain positive working relationships and support the team to achieve our goals
  22. Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards
  23. Attend required training and meetings
  24. All other duties as assigned, planned or un-planned


Work Environment/Conditions:

  • The majority of time will be spent indoors
  • Candidate must be comfortable working in a shared space, with constant noise, without the use of a private office.
  • Overtime is frequently required with or without notice.
  • Schedules may vary from week to week based on business demands
