General Summary of Job Duties

This position is responsible for the handling of all money activities as well as greeting & seating all guests to provide exceptional, fast and friendly customer service.

Essential Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Maintain a high quality of guest service according to Jacobs Entertainment, Inc. Mission Statement and F.A.S.T. Track Values Statement.
  • Maintains bank, greet and seat guests.
  • Relay customer complaints and compliments to supervisor/manager.
  • Familiar with all menu items, menu prices and hours of operations.
  • Assisting customers with questions regarding activities within the casino for that day.
  • Assist other team members as necessary.
  • Maintain a clean work area, profession appearance and present positive customer service techniques.
  • Remains attentive to the needs and requests of the customers.
  • Collects the menus from the designated areas in the dining room.
  • Keeps order slips/tickets in order and well stocked at the host table.
  • Answers phone inquiries and takes down messages for customers as necessary.
  • Ensures proper seating rotation.
  • Continuously monitor dining room to make sure it is properly maintained and floor is free of debris.
  • Keep a current station chart with them at all times and know the food servers and bus persons by name.
  • Thorough knowledge of applicable Company and departmental policies and procedures as well as the willingness to learn and follow any policy or procedure that may be introduced in the future.
  • Adhere to all appearance and uniform standards.
  • Maintain an open line of communication with Management.
  • Maintain a positive and professional demeanor during all interactions with guest, fellow Employees, and Vendors.
  • Ability to accept performance feedback in a professional manner.
  • Regular attendance and arriving on time to all scheduled shifts and mandatory meetings.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills, Education and Other Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Work Experience.
