General Summary of Job Duties

This position is responsible for administering all aspects of front-of-house food and beverage service to guests and employees. 

Essential Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Maintain a high quality of guest service according to Jacobs Entertainment, Inc. Mission Statement and F.A.S.T. Track Values Statement.
  • Administer all aspects of front-of-house food & beverage service to guests and employees.
  • Maintain files & records required to achieve daily compliance of department policies.
  • Inspect stations for health department sanity procedures.
  • Check on line for food, plates, cleanliness & presentation.
  • Prepare performance reviews as required.
  • Other related duties including but not limited to complying with the following; Nevada Liquor and Beer Codes, Federal requirements for Anti-Money Laundering, Company Policies, and IRS reporting.
  • Supervisor works with all servers, (4-6), bussers (1-4), cashiers (1-2), hosts (1-2) and other Supervisors (supervisors are all on equal basis) with Supervisor in charge that opens the shift.
  • Maintain records, do interviews, and write reviews. 
  • Assist in payroll recording, scheduling and be familiar with all aspects and job positions pertaining to front-of-house operations. 
  • Expected end results to provide our guests with an exceptional dining experience by guiding personnel in the proper performance of their duties.
  • Thorough knowledge of applicable Company and departmental policies and procedures as well as the willingness to learn and follow any policy or procedure that may be introduced in the future.
  • Adhere to all appearance and uniform standards.
  • Maintain an open line of communication with Management.
  • Maintain a positive and professional demeanor during all interactions with guest, fellow Employees, and Vendors.
  • Ability to accept performance feedback in a professional manner.
  • Regular attendance and arriving on time to all scheduled shifts and mandatory meetings.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills, Education and Other Requirements

  • Must be fluent in English language
  • High school graduate or equivalent. 
  • Two years restaurant experience in large volume restaurant with a working knowledge of all phases and aspects of restaurant business and a working knowledge of kitchen stations.
