Test Technician I

Location: Gamma Dr. Pittsburgh, PA

Description

The primary function of a Test Technician I is to perform evaluation and functional testing of durable medical equipment following established procedures and equipment while completing all relevant paperwork and data entry related to processing of such equipment within the Manufacturing and Service group. Performs training of other team members and works in a team environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs standard assignments from work orders given. 
  • Analyze and test devices, components, and subassemblies in order to ensure product quality. 
  • Perform standardized test procedures. 
  • Perform problem determination. 
  • Process test data and may prepare preliminary analysis and information for inclusion in reports. 
  • Works under close supervision. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Management.

Supervisory Responsibilities:  None.

Education and/or Experience                                                        

  • Requires a high school education, vocational training preferred
  • 1-2 years of manufacturing experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Strong attention to detail

Language Skills:  Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills:  Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.  Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability:  Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
