We are currently seeking an experienced Director of Tax in our Wilmington, DE corporate headquarters. Someone who is highly organized and thrives in a fast paced environment will do well in this position.  Our most successful employees are service oriented and work well as a team player.

This position is responsible for the Company’s global tax compliance, tax planning and accounting for income taxes. The successful candidate will work with the business, outside service providers, and other tax professionals in carrying out his or her responsibilities.

Some of the things you will be doing:

  • Oversee all federal, international and state income tax returns including all related analysis and support (including Shareholder K-1’s, Transfer Pricing, BEPS, cBcR)

  • Oversee all domestic and international provisioning to satisfy tax and GAAP requirements

  • Oversee all shareholder tax distribution schedules provided by third party accounting firm

  • Oversee the preparation of all jurisdictional tax payments, on a timely basis, on behalf of all shareholders

  • Review, research and investigate various state and federal tax notices

  • Responsible for audits of federal and state income tax and state and local filings

  • Ensure compliance with all sales & use tax laws for filing tax returns

What technical skills, experience, and qualifications do you need?

  • 10-15 or more years of combined experience from industry and public accounting

  • A bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent, CPA is required and master’s degree a plus

  • Experience developing and leading teams, driving success across global locations, and driving efficient processes that can expand in-sourcing of work from third-parties

  • Experience with Oracle or other major ERP platforms

  • Experience with Corptax software a plus

  • Experience with Vertex software a plus

  • In-depth knowledge of income tax and international tax, S Corp experience preferred, and knowledge of sales and use tax a plus

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively across the enterprise and with shareholders and their respective delegates
