Quality Specialist

As a Quality Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing an ongoing Quality Control program. 

Some of the things you will be doing:

  • Developing quality assurance plan, policies, and procedures
  • Implementing quality assurance standards
  • Promoting quality awareness throughout department
  • Conducting audits to ensure quality standards are met
  • Collecting and compiling statistical quality data
  • Analyzing data to identify trends and areas where corrective action is needed
  • Identifying training needs and proposing corrective actions to meet quality standards
  • Preparing reports to communicate key metrics and outcomes of quality activities
  • Understand and communicate Industry changes and new product offerings
  • An understanding that his/her success is interdependent on the success of his/her team, and a commitment to do everything 

What technical skills, experience, and qualifications do you need?

  • Knowledge of UCC business, and processes in all processing teams
  • 2 years of experience in UCC processing
  • Quality or Six Sigma certifications a plus
  • Knowledge of tools, concepts, and methodologies of QA
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office, including Excel and Access
  • Attention to detail
  • Data collection, management, and analysis skills
  • Problem solving skills
  • Strong organization and planning skills
  • Ability to develop and maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships with others.
  • Knowledge of  UCC services and products
  • Knowledge of UCC Systems
  • Technically savvy
  • Ability to communicate across all levels
  • Desire to work across all teams and UCC disciplines
  • SharePoint experience a plus
