Accounts Payable / Receivable Analyst, Capital Markets

The Capital Markets Europe team is a newly-formed division and provides our institutional clients with a comprehensive range of specialist debt and capital markets administration services.
In this role, you will work closely with qualified accountants and senior management to provide accounting services to capital market transactions and assist with the running of an energetic, dynamic office. This role would suit an ambitious, energetic person keen to progress further in a dynamic, rapidly-growing business.
Some of the things you will be doing:
• Internal Accounting:
o Accounts Payable – tracking and paying invoices by verifying transaction information; scheduling and preparing disbursements; obtaining authorisation of payment.
o Accounts Receivable - preparing draft invoices using information available on internal systems and liaising with client facing staff to review invoices prior to distribution to clients
o Monitoring receipt of funds on all outstanding invoices and following-up with debtors, as appropriate
o Assisting with the preparation of monthly and quarterly internal reporting requirements
• Client Accounting:
o Posting journal entries including cash transactions, accruals, prepayments, revenue and expenses
o Assisting in the preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts
o Assisting in the completion of VAT returns and iXBRL tagged financials
o General administrative duties including filing, archiving, photocopying, faxing and scanning of documents relating to client transactions
o Gaining familiarity with a diverse range of capital markets structures and products
• Assisting with the management of the office, including:
o Monitoring and ordering office supplies
o Liaising with 3rd party suppliers, including the building manager
o Working closely with business managers to ensure the office is fit for purpose to meet the demands of a growing business
o General administrative duties including filing, archiving, photocopying, faxing and scanning of documents
What technical skills, experience and qualifications do you need?
• 1-2 years’ experience in an accounts payable/accounts receivable role or similar office environment
• Strong organisational skill and an ability to meet tight deadlines
• Team player, with strong problem solving skills
• Conscientious and diligent, with high attention to detail
• Professional, friendly demeanour with enthusiasm for the role
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
