Medical Provider (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner) – Full Time

Job Functions Include:

  • Conduct intake medical assessments and determine initial medication dose level for substance use disorder patients
  • Conduct patient dose evaluations and change medication levels, as indicated
  • Conduct physical examinations of patients and make appropriate recommendations for follow-up
  • Facilitate appropriate referrals to outside medical providers for needed follow-up
  • Evaluate, as necessary, patients with urgent or emergent medical needs and determine if further medical assistance is necessary
  • Write medical orders for all take-home privileges, seeking Center for Substance Abuse Treatment (CSAT) and Division of Behavioral Health and Recovery (DBHR) exceptions as necessary
  • Coordinate medication treatment with other clinic treatment staff including nurses, counselors, pharmacists, physicians, acupuncturists and case managers
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Active Physician Assistant license in the state of Washington, or
  • Active Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Washington
  • All Medical Providers must have a Schedule II, III, and IV prescriptive authority from the DEA or be eligible to obtain


  • Experience in substance use disorder treatment
