The City of Fort Worth Aviation system is home to three world-class airports --Alliance, Meacham International and Spinks. Both Meacham International and Spinks Airports provide regional aviation services for air charter, corporate, business and recreational flyers. The airports feature full service fuelers, multiple maintenance facilities, flight schools, on site rental car facilities, and hotel facilities only minutes away. The City of Fort Worth Aviation Department is essential to the economic well-being and commerce taking place in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.

The City of Fort Worth is looking for a Real Property Manager to join our Aviation Department team.  You will be responsible for managing the development of day-to-day property management activities, development and maintenance of productive tenant relationships and complex projects.  

 

Real Property Manager job duties include a few of the following:

  • Review and interpret complex airport leases, contracts, renewals, permits, and various property rights, industry trends, acquisitions or other rights of use, including determination of best negotiating positions.
  • Recommend airport negotiating positions and successfully manage review of proposals and real estate transactions within the established City and Aviation Department processes.
  • Review airport consultant analyses and obtain pricing and commission approval.
  • Ensure Aviation/tenant compliance with contractual obligations, environmental obligations, rules and regulations, and grant assurances.
  • Understand and apply real estate principles/practices including airport property management and contract administration.
  • Read, interpret, and understand airport contract documents, policies, ordinances, surveys, construction drawings, grant assurances, etc.

 

Minimum job requirements include:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in Business Administration, Public Administration, Real Estate or other relevant field.
  • At least five years of management in a public or private real estate industry.
  • At least three of the five years of experience in commercial real estate and/or property management.
  • At least two years of direct supervisory responsibility.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license.

 

Preference will be given to applicants with the following:

  • Experience with real estate principles and practices in the area of commercial property, facility management, federal grant assurances and regulations, and commercial and aviation real estate valuation techniques.
  • Operational, financial, and regulatory structure of the national and regional aviation system; aviation and airport operations.
  • Knowledge of multiple disciplines such as maintenance, aviation tenant operations, airport operations, planning, engineering, construction, and environmental safety.
