Provide effective sourcing leadership of the Global Category Leader in Inventory Services, linking the external marketplace with internal business needs through development and execution of effective sourcing strategy.
The Category of Inventory Services has a global portfolio worth approx. $50-S60M per year which includes Warehousing, Drumming and Terminalling comprising a high value and/or complex global contracts.
Develop deep knowledge in the Inventory services contract including global marketplace awareness, technical drivers, internal needs and external capabilities.
Work directly with Global Procurement Manager and Regional Supply Chain Manager to develop appropriate sourcing strategies for inventory services and ensuring alignment with the business teams requirements and the external marketplace.
Develop strategic relationships with key suppliers and maintain focus through various activities. Represent Company as the owner of the supplier interface.
Effectively negotiate contracts across all Inventory Service category. Understand the marketplace drivers, Company's leverage, and use to the advantage of Company ensuring supply security at the best available market pricing.
Ensure compliance to operational integrity Procurement procedures, business & financial control processes, training and assessment schedules internally.
Work closely with other functions (Manufacturing plants, Supply Chain, GSP) to ensure global alignment and reliably supply.
Represent the Company's Procurement function in internal and external discussions with different level of engagement.
Any additional responsibilities as assigned.
Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain or Business.
At least 4 to 5 years' experience in Category Procurement, with global and complex projects exposure.
Procurement or Sales professional with extensive previous experience in commercial roles is an added advantage.
Strong business acumen and relationship building.
Excellent communication skills to communicate effectively and build good relationships both internally and externally, being able to represent Company at 3rd parties both indirectly or face to face; bilingual as to liaise with Mandarin speaking counterparts/stakeholders.
Ability to work in a complex and challenging environment consisting of multiple internal and external interfaces.
Demonstrate solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proactive and independent.
Ability to prioritize and managing multiple priorities.
Travel is expected (frequency of 20%).
Working Location: Pasir Panjang/Jurong Island.
