The Development Executive will handle the acquisition and development of stories, scripts, and screenplays.
Responsibilities includes, but not limited to, coming up with the underlying premise of a production, selecting the screenplay, screenwriter, story editing team and supervising the development process.
Ability to understand genre and tone and constructing stories – while keeping the audience in mind. The Development Executive should be able to breakdown a script to estimate the budget required to produce the film.
Ability to identify projects with genuine possibilities and then manage the script writers and be able to provide concise script notes for rewrites.
Minimum 3 years of experience in broadcast media
Read and assess pitches
Develop all the treatments and scripts in development or which have been commissioned
Attend Writers Room to help develop the scripts
Keeping track of scheduled delivery
Supervising the creative during post-production
Mandarin fluency is a plus, to handle Asian region contents
