This role exists to carry out maintenance, under the direction of cluster leads, on power plant mechanical equipment (either MHI/Alstom HRSG or CCP Steam or Gas Turbines, &/or other mechanical auxiliary plant, depending on position), as well as performing supporting function, such as machinery condition-monitoring, fire-fighting systems and lifting equipment maintenance, to meet availability, efficiency and reliability targets, besides ensuring full compliance with statutory requirements.
Be part of Mechanical Maintenance team to implement planned inspection and repair of mechanical equipment in power plant to meet regulatory & organisation requirement.
Inspection, servicing, repair and testing of selected HRSG, Steam Turbine, Gast Turbine and auxiliary plant, based on schedule generated by Engineering Planning Section.
Monitoring services-contract to ensure works are carried out in accordance with WSH requirement to quality that meet contract specification
To respond to machinery breakdown and assist senior engineers to trouble shoot and implement remedial actions
Part of team to carry out trouble-shoot on equipment breakdown and undertake round-the-clock rectification of defects on critical equipment when required.
Implement solutions developed jointly with Engineering Section to prevent recurrence of plant breakdown.
To procure spares and services to support the maintenance of assigned plants equipment
Carry out review of spares and external services as assigned
Process goods receipt and work completion certificates to facilitate payments
If assigned, to maintain and test fire-fighting suppression systems, safety equipment, lifting appliances, and other statutory equipment to comply with statutory and insurance requirements
Support WSH in scheduled fire-fighting sprinkler systems spray testing, fire-fighting pumps performance statutory tests and overhaul. Promptly rectify the defects found during testing or reported by Ops via Fault Notification.
Liaise and arrange with MOM Approved Examiner for testing/examination of lifting appliances and pressure vessel to meet statutory requirements.
Promoting Workplace, health & safe working environment Conduct risk assessment and ensure control measures identified and safe work procedures are implemented for every maintenance work
Degree in Mechanical Engineering that is recognized by Professional Engineer Board
Minimum 3 years experience on mechanical maintenance of power plant equipment preferred.
