  • A well-established Oil & Gas industry.
  • Responsible for independent risk control & analysis via segregation of hedge trade management & documentation, maintenance of price curves, and valuation of derivatives.
  • Oversight of counter-party credit control and upholding best practices in monitoring and controlling credit and FZ exposure.
  • Responsible for trade confirmations and contact management.
Key Responsibilities:
Independent calculation of MTM risk exposure
  • Updating of FX & Fuel prices for MTM calculation which involves manually interpolating and extrapolating the FX & HSFO forward curves.
  • Develop alternative methods of counter-checking the overall FX and HSFO volume.

Validate HSFO and FX deal confirmations   

  • Monitor the receipts of deal confirmations from counter-parties and send tracer if they failed to send within 3 working days.
  • Identify any discrepancies on the deal confirmations.
  • Enforce counter-parties to amend trade details should there be discrepancies.
  • Maintenance of accurate deal records in Risk Management Systems prior locking and updating of counter-parties reference no. 

Risk Reporting and Risk Supporting

  • Documentation of RMO processed.
  • Automate counter-parties’ rating in Bloomberg and good commodity business days/ electric/power news in Platts in the form of email alert.
  • Identify the correct functionality in Bloomberg to perform research based work, e.g. IRS, CCS, CDS, WACC and share Bloomberg functionality team members.
  • Specify criteria in Bloomberg functionality to assess the information and analyze the outcome.
  • Participate in UAT for RMS by proposing new fields and enhancing existing fields in the new system.
  • Running reports such as monthly FX & HSFO MTM and Commodity Sensitivity Analysis Report.
  • Minimum Degree.
  • At least 4 years' relevant experience in Risk Analysis, from Power Plant industry.
  • Proficient in MS Excel.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Possess creativeness in resolving issues.
  • Highly driven, numerical and meticulous with good sense for details.

Other Information:​ 

  • Working Location: Woodlands (Transport pick-ups are provided from Yishun, Sembawang, Marsiling, Admiralty, Bishan, and Ang Mo Kio MRT).
  • Working Hours: Mondays to Fridays, 8am to 5.30pm.
  • Critical: Due to the organization's affirmed support and commitment to developing a Singaporean core, this role is only available to Singaporeans.
