Role: Robotic Arm Technology- Automation
This position will be responsible for assisting the engineering department in the automation and assembly machinery development, and support systems design, programming, implementing manufacturing technology to automate and synchronize production processes. The incumbent shall also perform tasks related to setting up the tools in the secondary process, and to debug and rework production parts.
Work with stake-holders to conceptualize the assembly process either in semi-auto, fully automatic machines or multi- purpose fixtures for either existing products or new products with both quality and cost considerations.
Be part of a new product development team, complete assembly equipment per the established timing, cost and quality requirements. Maintain project file for assigned projects.
Provide support for interpretation of the technical specifications, requirements, vendors’ quotations, evaluation and submission of the automation project costing to Management for approval.
Coordinate the projects, test run and qualify the machine using company’s tools and complete the final setup.
Assist or wholly responsible for design, coordinate fabrication, assembly, debug and test run the equipment with guidance from supervisor.
Coordinate with machine vendors for all new machines. Assist the vendors and ensure completion date is met.
Implement short term tools so as to establish the process capability.
Minimum Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or its equivalent. Preferably with Electrical and controls knowledge including software programming.
Min 3-5 years automation experience in a manufacturing environment preferably in robotics arm technology.
Experience with precision engineering, machining and/or welding, tool & die making and metal stamping are added advantage.
Hands-on knowledge on equipment troubleshooting and process automation and improvements.
Computer literate in Microsoft Office software and CAD.
Ability to organize and manage projects
Strong problem analysis and problem resolution at both a strategic and functional level.
Positive & ‘can do’ attitude, initiative, honest, reliable, independent and ability to work in a team.
