Our Client is a well-established Manufacturing Firm.
Oversee Global Logistics, including Distribution Center operations, by performing to service level expectations and operational controls, as well as regulatory and budget requirements.
Play a pivotal leadership role in customer centricity, scalability and efficiency strategies to drive a new standard across the organization leveraging Logistics best practices.
Collaborate with Divisions, Transportation, Sales, Customer Service, Finance and other functional areas to design and implement strategies and tactics, which reduce total cost while improving network service level.
Ensure efficient flow of goods to manufacturing, distribution and customers. Leverage dashboards/analytics to monitor various data sources to identify risks to customer performance and assurance of supply, with proactively defined mitigation strategies in place.
Manage relationship with 3PL’s and Logistics Operations team to meet customer demands and Division requirements. Partner with 3PL’s on improving performance, with plans to scale and flex to dynamic business conditions.
Support rapid integration of Logistics Operations at acquired companies.
Degree in Logistics Operations or Supply Chain Management.
At least 10 to 15 years' experience in similar field plus experience in leading Logistics & Technology transformation (e.g. technology whichfocus on software, control tower, network design to improve customer service and reduce end to end total cost), preferably from Chemicals or Semicon industry.
Hands-on experience in handling Dangerous Goods.
Demonstrated leadership in transforming a complex manufacturing supply chain. Leverages market intelligence to inform business planning and optimize decision making.
Strategic thinker with in-depth understanding of inbound/outbound logistics strategy and optimization, matched with technical understanding of systems/processes.
Pursues alternative solutions, works well in group problem solving situations, presents ideas and information in a compelling way. Solid analytical skills and solution-driven thinking, using intuition and experience to complement data.
Strong process orientation and track record of reducing costs, improving profits and streamlining operations in order to achieve financial improvements.
Experience working with 3PL partners to accomplish short and long-term business goals.
Expert knowledge of Logistics industry trends and best practices.
Possess Continuous Improvement, Six Sigma and Lean experience or Certification is highly preferred.
Ability to influence and motivate other functions, regions and cultures to drive change and achieve desired results.
Ability and willingness to travel (50%).
Reports to: VP Procurement & Logistics.
Working Location: Central.
Working Hours: Mondays to Fridays, 8.30am to 5.30pm.
